M.A.M.A.'s 5th Annual Chili Cook Off!
M.A.M.A.’s 5th Annual Chili Cook Off will be held at 44 North Restaurant in Milbridge 5-7pm on Wednesday, February 15th.
To enter your chili recipe, bring a full Crock Pot of warm chili at 4:30 p.m. The entry fee is $5.
Fine Chili should look good, smell good and taste good. Accordingly each cup of chili is to be judged on 5 criteria to arrive at one whole number score from 0 to 10, with 10 being the highest and 0 the lowest. The 5 criteria are: aroma. red color, consistency, taste, & aftertaste
It’s only $8.00 for all the Chili you can eat (and judge). Judge each chili on its own merit; do not attempt to compare one chili to another. Make your decision the first time you taste it. Pace yourself because you will have several cups of chili to judge. Clear your palate after tasting each of the different chilies.
The proceeds this year will be donated to DETOP in Cherryfield. Down East Table of Plenty.
Please come to Milbridge on this cold night in February for great food and lots of fun. Winners will be announced at 7pm. 1st place winner will have the 2012 bragging rights, their name on the marquis at BaySide & 4 Corners, a plaque for their wall, and a gift certificate to 44 North. Good luck!
