More than 50 businesses are members of the Milbridge Area Merchants Association. There are many benefits to becoming a member including:
- Network with other area businesses and business owners.
- Monthly meetings often feature guest programs on a variety of business and economic issues.
- Member profile on our Web site.
- Listing in our brochure, Discover Downeast. Our brochures are displayed in several key information kiosks in Maine, including Kittery, Hamden, Calais, Ellsworth, and Bar Harbor, and at member businesses.
- Receive the periodic association newsletter: Commerce Downeast, highlighting member businesses, association news, and more
- Participate in philanthropic endeavors that increase quality of life in our communities. For example, M.A.M.A. will be organizing a scholarship program to benefit local students.
- Participate in our annual banquet/awards ceremony. Perhaps your business will get some well-deserved recognition!

Membership
Membership fees are annual from September – August. Regular membership is $75 annually and non-profit membership is $25 annually. Both of these membership levels include a listing in the Discover Downeast brochure and a Web site profile.
Non-Paying Non-Profit membership is open to churches and schools. This membership level includes a profile on our Web site.

Why Not Become a Sponsor Instead with Great Advertising Benefits?
There are three levels of sponsorships with different benefits. The primary benefit, however, is in helping the association accomplishing its mission and
thereby benefiting the community as a whole.
Bronze – $250 annually (includes a standard-sized ad with hyperlink on our web page, listing in the web page members directory, in addition to 1.5″ x 2″ ad in the brochure)
Silver – $500 annually (includes a large banner ad with hyperlink on our web page, listing in the web page embers directory, and a 1.5″ X 3″ ad in our brochure)
Gold – $1,000 annually (includes large banner ad with hyperlink on a prominent page of our web site, a unique GOLD Sponsor Profile Page highlighting Your businesses achievements, community service, and more, a 2″ X 3″ (business card-size) ad in our brochure2, in addition to a listing in our web directory.)
Many of our advertising campaigns and special event posters list the names of our sponsors.
